PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW

PUBLIC NOTICE

At Adm Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., it is one of our main principles to protect the privacy of the personal lives of our customers, offering and maintaining information security. In harmony with our company’s awareness on this matter, we are required to provide you, our esteemed customers, with information on how we collect, use and share with 3rd parties such personal data.

In Turkey, the use and protection of personal data are secured with Article 20 of the Constitution, regulating the right to demand protection of personal data. Furthermore, Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 regulates the use of personal data for commercial purposes.

As per the Electricity Market Law, the personal data you provide to our Company shall be used to offer power distribution services; make investments; read meters; make connections to the distribution system; operate the distribution plants; issue request estimations; offer services related to the service areas of our Company such as the balancing and reconciliation market; improve the quality of these services; complete other tasks; and comply with our obligations to provide information. In addition to the above, as part of the practices aimed at improving the quality of the service we offer, your personal data shall be shared only with those necessary by nature of our activities, as well as public institutions authorized to request such data.

While processing such data, our Company obeys the law and the code of integrity to ensure that the data is correct, is not used outside the scope of the work, is processed for lawful purposes, is kept up to date, and is preserved for a reasonable period necessary for the relevant purpose.

As per Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, you are entitled to:

a)    Find out if your personal data has been processed,

b)    Request information, if your personal data has been processed,

c) Find out the purpose of processing your personal data and if the data has been used for the intended purpose,

d) Find out the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred at home or abroad,

e) Request rectification if your personal data was processed incompletely or incorrectly,

f) Request deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Law,

g) Request that the actions taken based on subparagraphs (e) and (f) above are communicated to third parties to whom your personal data was transferred,

h) Object to a result that is against you, arising from the analysis of your personal data exclusively by automated systems,

i) Request indemnification if you incur loss due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

If you wish to exercise these rights which you are entitled to as per Article 11 of the Law No. 6698, please send an email to bilgi@admelektrik.com.tr, providing personally identifiable information and stating your remarks regarding the right you wish to use. Requests or notices sent via means other than this email address shall not be considered.

Our Company reserves the right to amend and update this Notice any time without getting prior consent from subscribers and users.
