Adm Elektrik Won Gold Stevie at International Business Awards® for 2022

Adm Elektrik won the Gold Stevie award in environmental category at the 19th International Business Awards, which is held by the Stevie Awards and one of the most prestigious business awards in the world.

At the 2022 International Business Awards organized under The Stevie Awards, one of the leading business awards globally, the corporate social responsibility project of Adm Elektrik titled ‘A New Home for Storks’ won the Gold Stevie in the environmental category for “Communications and Public Relations Campaign of the Year”.

Having storks over in the migration period on top of electric poles in Aydın, Denizli and Muğla, Adm Elektrik won this award for the efforts put in under a social responsibility project to ensure that storks coming to the area in the spring months can keep living safely in the area. Contributing to the protection of nature and natural life with 700 nests and 6,000 storks every year, the company is collaborating with various organizations for sustainability, nesting and counting of the stork population, i.e. the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science in Ege University; Ecosystem Preservation and Nature Lovers Association, and the 4th Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Ahmet Bayramoğlu, General Manager at Adm Elektrik, highlighted their happiness for the award: “Since 2009, we have become home to storks in our region while continuing to strive for a sustainable nature. For over 13 years now, this project has allowed us to provide home to thousands of storks in the life platforms placed on top of our electric poles. We keep collaborating with civil society and non-governmental organizations to meet their needs. Thousands of nests in our service region allow us to preserve the ecological balance of nature, and we are happy to be home to more than 80,000 storks since 2009. I would like to express my gratitude to all of my teammates who helped us achieve this at the Stevie Awards, which has international significance.”  

Adm Elektrik previously received the Platinum Prize for Terrestrial Life at the Sustainable Development Awards at the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit, which was organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey.
