Adm Elektrik continues its investments at full-speed to ensure that power is supplied with high quality, sustainably and sufficiently in Aydın, Denizli and Muğla provinces, which are growing fast as an industrial and tourism center.
The Geographical Information System (GIS) of ADM Elektrik Dağıtım manages the data of the electricity distribution network in the region. In this connection, the entire distribution network available in Aydın, Denizli and Muğla provinces has been transferred into electronic environment from the resource to all subscribers, and has been modelled. The Geographical Information System application is used as the main data resource for all other systems allowing the management of the distribution network such as SCADA/DMS, Customer Relations Management (CRM), Customer Information Systems (CIS) and Asset Maintenance and Management System. Thanks to the modelling of the distribution network supplying power to consumers, this investment makes it possible to serve notifications on planned power cuts 48 hours in advance to the consumers requesting to be informed about planned power cuts. In addition, the distribution network inventories in our areas of responsibility covering an area of 32,500 square meters allow making analyses on basis of locations. These analyses that can be used when planning investments have made it possible to prepare 5- and 10-year master plans for the distribution network, relate the breakdown records to the distribution network and help the determination of the defective component of the distribution network, thus improving supply sustainability.
Adm Elektrik SCADA Center remotely controls 3406 high-voltage feeders around the clock in total 616 transformer and distribution centers in Aydın, Denizli and Muğla provinces. This system allows anticipating potential breakdowns, taking necessary measures and responding faster to the breakdowns that occur. It particularly gives the chance to respond as fast as within seconds to breakdowns at high-voltages causing a high number of consumers to experience power cuts. Efforts are ongoing for increasing the number of transformer and distribution centers controlled by SCADA system.
Adm Elektrik founded the first comprehensive call center in Turkey in the electricity distribution industry in 2009, as a first in the country's history. The call center's technological infrastructure was renewed in 2016 as a result of an investment of more than 3 million TL, and the new call center whose capacity was quadrupled was commissioned.
Call Center that can be called at "186" provides 7/24 services to the consumers in Aydın, Denizli and Muğla region. Calls received by the Call Center are forwarded to Power-Cut Management System, customer requests are gathered at a single point, the reason and location of breakdown are determined more accurately, and breakdowns are responded faster.
ADM Elektrik Dağıtım has made an investment of 130 million TL since 2008, the year it started its operations, until 2010, and around 800 million TL during the 5-year 2011-2015 period. The company aims to invest approximately 1 billion TL in the region in the 2016-2020 period. Investments focus mostly on new power lines, renewal-improvement works and technological investments. These new investments increase the quality of the energy supplied to both the existing and new consumers on a continuous basis.
Investment Planning Strategy
In order to fully consider both future and existing requirements of consumers, ADM Elektrik Dağıtım holds discussions with local governments before making investment decisions, and conducts a professional computerized planning process. While making investments, ADM Elektrik Dağıtım spends its best efforts for ensuring that its technology- and innovation-driven works are prioritized, quality standards are increased at each phase, technological materials of global standards are used, knowledgeable and experienced qualified employees are recruited, and thus, as a natural consequence, efficiency is increased.
Long-Term Investment Design
Considering that electricity distribution networks have a useful life of 25-30 years and involve a high building cost, a long-term design is needed. ADM Elektrik Dağıtım continues is long-term planning works in order to address this requirement. The existing electricity distribution network is analyzed using remote monitoring and control systems, and data such as consumer requirements, new settlement areas to develop, the long-term plans of institutions and organizations and other various factors are brought together by master plan applications, and are modelled, resulting in the preparation of investment plans that can give the most accurate results. This is how electricity distribution networks with a useful life of 25-30 years are designed. Electricity distribution networks whose economic life has expired are determined by continuously-collected data, and long-term planning, renewal and improvement works are carried out at these facilities. All distribution network designs and plans are prepared in a manner to ensure that the requirements can be met even 25-30 years later, rather than focusing on the current requirements. With these plans, ADM Elektrik Dağıtım aims to make the most efficient use of our country's resources, and supply to consumers high-quality and uninterrupted electric energy.
